Branding & Identity

Branding & Identity

Positioning first. The logo comes last.

Positioning, naming, verbal identity and a visual system that holds up on an app icon, a pitch deck and a hoarding. You leave with the strategy, the source files and a brand book precise enough to answer the questions a new designer asks in week 1.

Identity work usually fails in month 3, when the campaign calendar meets a PDF that only covered the logo. We build for month 3: type scale, colour with contrast ratios, photography direction, motion behaviour, and templates a junior designer can open on deadline and get right.
The order matters. Positioning, then language, then the visual system, then a rollout plan with owners and dates. A full identity takes 6 to 10 weeks rather than 2, and the interviews at the start are the slow part. They are also the reason the design survives its first review by your sales team.

What you get

Deliverables, specifically.

8 things you can point at. Scope is agreed in writing before the first invoice.

  • Positioning: interviews with your team, your customers and 2 lost deals, plus a category audit and brand architecture
  • Naming with USPTO and EUIPO screening and domain checks before anyone gets attached to a shortlist
  • Verbal identity: voice principles, messaging hierarchy, tagline, and a phrasebook of what we say and what we never say
  • Visual identity: logo system, colour with contrast ratios, type scale, iconography, illustration and motion rules
  • Print and packaging: collateral, hoardings, dielines and print-ready artwork with spot colour specs
  • Asset kit: decks, social templates, ad frames, documents and email signatures in the sizes you actually run
  • Online brand book in Frontify or Zeroheight, versioned, with do and do-not examples taken from real work
  • Rollout plan with owners and dates, and a recorded handover session so the next hire can run the system

How it runs

3 steps. Then it compounds.

Our method, narrowed to this service. Every step ends with a document, a build or a number you can check.

  1. 01

    Evidence

Interviews, a category audit, and a record of how you get described when you are not in the room. Week 1 ends with a written diagnosis you could act on without us.

  2. 02

    Position

One positioning statement, a messaging hierarchy and 2 or 3 creative territories, pressure-tested with the people who have to sell it.

  3. 03

    Build and roll out

Identity system, brand book, asset kit and a rollout plan with owners and dates, closing with a recorded handover.

Questions

Asked often.

  • Positioning on its own runs 2 to 3 weeks. A full identity is 6 to 10 weeks, and a rebrand with rollout runs longer because the work is in the 200 places the old mark still sits. We scope it precisely after the first workshop.
